Catch The Spirit of The Ridge

In the early morning hours of November 8, 2018, an electric transmission line in the Sierra Nevada foothills malfunctioned. A spark ignited and within an hour, structures were burning in the town of Concow, three miles away. By noon, the fire had raced from its origin and was going strong in the nearby town of Paradise. Before the day was over,  the town and much of the neighboring communities, commonly referred to as “The Ridge”, were all but gone.

The “Camp Fire”, as it has come to be known, scorched more than 150,000 acres and was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California’s history. This tremendous tragedy took the lives of 85 people and affected thousands more.

But, just like the phoenix rising from the ashes, through the fire, a new spirit was born.

Today, as I look at The Ridge, I see a wonderful community that is full of hope and optimism. It is a community of courageous pioneers, both young and old, who are rebuilding and bringing life back to the town they love. They exhibit a spirit, The Spirit of The Ridge, that is contagious.

This brave spirit is one to be admired. In the brief few years that my family and I have joined this community, we have seen and stood in awe at the resolve and courage of our new friends. Each day is a new day of growth and healing on The Ridge as this beautiful town is coming back to life.

But, there is still much to be done.

By purchasing a bag of Coyote Ridge Coffee, $0.50 of your order goes directly to helping The Ridge as it rebuilds.
