French Press Cold Brew Method
Share
Make smooth, less acidic cold brew right at home with your favorite roast from Coyote Ridge Coffee and your French Press! We recommend Gold Nugget Espresso, Italiano di Paradiso, or whichever blend you're craving. The French press method makes it easy to enjoy café-quality cold brew from your own kitchen.
What You’ll Need:
- 2 oz of coarsely ground Coyote Ridge Coffee (Gold Nugget Espresso, Italiano di Paradiso, or your go-to favorite)
- 3 cups cold filtered or bottled water
- A French press
- A spoon for stirring
How to Brew:
1. Grind Your Beans
Use 2 ounces of coarsely ground coffee. Our recommended roasts make a bold, balanced brew, but any Coyote Ridge coffee will work beautifully.
2. Combine Coffee & Water
Add grounds to the French press, pour in 3 cups of cold water, and make sure all grounds are wet.
3. Stir & Submerge
Give it a gentle stir. Then press the plunger just enough to push the grounds below the waterline—but don’t press it all the way down.
4. Steep Cold
Place in the fridge and steep for 12 to 24 hours. The longer the steep, the richer the flavor.
5. Press & Pour
After steeping, press the plunger down slowly to filter out the grounds.
6. Serve Your Way
Enjoy it straight, over ice, or mix with milk, cream, or your favorite dairy-free option. Sweeten to taste.
Cold Brew Tips from the Ridge:
- Stronger Flavor? Use a bit more coffee or steep longer.
- Storage: Keep in the fridge for up to a week.
- Add a Twist: Try a dash of vanilla, cinnamon, or flavored syrup for something new.
